Microsoft ESP is (was?) a visual simulation software development platform intended for commercial, government and education organizations.
ESP wasn't created specifically as a flight simulator. It can be used as the basis for a flight simulator, but it can also be used for many other types of simulations, recreating the world as accurately as possible, from geography, to hydrology, terrain, weather, etc.
As you may know, FSX new development has been shelved for now. Anyone knows if ESP was shelved as well? The official website is here.
