Sometimes you wish you were dead |
The post-apocalyptic novel "The Road" must really be something, if it won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction in 2006, and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in the following year.
The movie, which I happened to watch only yesterday, conveys among other things the message that, sometimes, you wish you were dead. Just like an average guy like me watching "The Road" when, at the end of the first half of the movie, suddenly realizes that another full hour of "The Road" is awaiting him. Then, you really wish you were dead.
