Neal Stephenson is the author of such books as Snow Crash, The Diamond Age, The Cryptonomicon, The Baroque Cycle, and Anathem. He is currently collaborating with Greg Bear and others on an online fiction project called The Mongoliad. And his latest novel, Reamde, is about a money-making scam in an online role-playing game that spins wildly out of control. This interview first appeared in io9's The Geek's Guide to the Galaxy podcast, which is hosted by John Joseph Adams and David Barr Kirtley.
