The Evocation of the Archangels (Gabriel, Raphael, Michael and Uriel) is one of the parts of the Lesser Ritual of The Pentagram, used either to invoke the four elements (air, fire, earth and water) or to banish them.
It is also used as a magical ritual for protection, from which these verses derived:
Child, you must protect yourself
I'll show you how with fire
Gabriel before me
Raphael behind me
Michael to my right
Uriel on my left side
In the circle of fire
